J&K Bank announces Rs 50000 for leper patients

SSS distributes blankets, flour bags on World Leprosy Day

 

Srinagar, Jan 30: Jammu and Kashmir Bank Monday announced a relief of Rs 50,000 to the leper patients as part of corporate social responsibility.
J&K Bank President O P Sharma announced the relief to the leper patients in social service camp organized Shaheen Sport Syndicate (SSS) on the eve of World Leprosy Day at Kusht Ashram Bhagwati Nagar Jammu. Minister for Agriculture Ghulam Hassan Mir was the chief guest and J&K Bank President O P Sharma was the guest of honor on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Chairman SSS Showkat Ahmed Khanyari highlighted the aims and the objective of syndicate in the field of sports and social welfare.
Khanyar who is also a bank officer, urged the civil society to come forward for the welfare of the leper patients and other underprivileged class of the society.
“It is our responsibility to bring the smiles on underprivileged society with welfare programs,” said Khanyari.
The minister while appreciating the role of syndicate appealed to privileged class of society to come forward for help of needy persons.
Chairman Syndicate thanked guests especially Minister G H Mir and JKB President O P Sharma for their support to the camp and encouraging leper patients.
He also thanked Chairman J&K Bank Mushtaq Ahmed for cash assistance for the patients.
